RMR ASSOCIATION MEMBERS DECORATE FIELD OF HONOUR

Pointe-Claire, Quebec – 07 June 2015: On a sunny Sunday morning in early June, several members of the RMR Association (Br. 14) turned out to help plant Canadian flags in front of the more than 20,000 grave markers at the the National Field of Honour, in preparation for the annual Commemorative Ceremony later that afternoon.

The National Field of Honour is a cemetery for Canadian and Allied veterans and their loved ones. It is located in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada and is operated by the Quebec Branch of the Last Post Fund. The National Field of Honour is distinct among Canadian military cemeteries in that all the headstones are laid flush with the ground. All Veterans whether they were Generals or Privates lie beside each other as equals.
