Workshop: Original Perspectives


This activity invites participants to read and analyze personal letters and newspapers depicting the same event or theme. They are then asked to reflect upon what factors influenced the difference and similarities in both narratives.

Original Perspectives

The way we think about history is often focused on big events that had major consequences on entire populations.

This workshop aims to reframe the individual experiences within the scope of a broader history.

Letters written by ordinary people reflect a very particular perspective that is often not the same expressed to the general public in newspapers.
