In Hutments, Lark Hill, Salisbury Plains
The Battalion War Diarist wrote for this day: “Adjutant, Capt. A.P. Holt unfit for overseas owing to attack of pneumonia, Asst. Adjt., Lieut. H.A. Thompson appointed Acting Adjutant, and Lt. Brotherhood recalled from Tidworth to complete establishment.” [1]
THIS DAY IN RMR HISTORY: Although the 1st Canadian Division had set out a training syllabus in November for the training of infantry units, the weather encountered in the ensuing months played havoc with the scheduled programme. Andrew Iarocci has given us a copy of the syllabus overview as originally envisaged. [2]
