This project is divided into five independent units, each focusing on a specific theme, that aims to allow students to have a greater understanding of Canada’s role in World War I and contributions of ordinary soldiers. The program is aimed at students in the second cycle of secondary School (Sec IV).
This resource was developed by Chantal Clabrough (M.A.), Senior Social Sciences teacher at Westmount High School in the English Montreal School Board (EMSB), with the support provided by The Royal Montreal Regiment Foundation in the borough of Westmount. A pedagogical review was provided by Tino Bordonaro (M.A) Social Sciences consultant at the EMSB. The historical content was reviewed by Hamilton Slessor and Lieutenant-Colonel (retired) Colin Robinson of the RMR Museum. Mélanie Presseau-Dumais, (M.A.) Museologist was a consultant on this project and Ariane Paquet edited and revised the materials. Translation services provided by Shirley Mirvil.
