Westmount, QC – 17 October 2014: In another tightly contested affair The Royal Montreal Regiment’s ball hockey team defeated 4R22R to a final score of 5-3 last Thursday evening (09 October 14). Both sides fought relentlessly and gave everything they had; the game was tight with both sides traded momentum early.
The RMR received some welcomed offence from Cpl Nick Talarico, who was making his season debut. In true RMR fashion the third period made all the difference. The RMR displayed a high level of fitness and were tenacious in winning all of the important battles. Timely goals by Sgt Brent McNair & MCpl Loic Parnell put the RMR ahead; all that was left to do was shut the door. Sgt Mike “Mittens” Talarico stood tall in net while MCpl Elias Aoun and Cpl Samuel Larin held possession deep in the offence zone.
The whistle sounded to end the match and the RMR was again victorious, the team however is focused on what will be the toughest test yet: Région de Montreal on the 23rd of Oct. We hope to see you there!
