With this downloadable workshop kit, your students can make a poppy for Remembrance Day and learn about notable Canadian soldiers who served in conflicts during the last century and how the poppy symbol originated. This workshop is aimed at students aged 5 to 10 years old.

What will you need?
Subtitle
- Download the file “Poppy Ambassadors.pdf” below and print the pictures on a red paper (or print on white paper and have the students colour them red with crayons, markers, pencils, etc.)
- Print a copy of the biographies for the Ambassadors for each student so they learn more about the people in the pictures
- Red cardboard
- Green pipe cleaners
- A black round object to be at the center of the poppy (a black piece of cardboard, a button, a pompom, etc)
- Glue
- Scissors
