THIS DAY IN RMR HISTORY: “London, Dec. 28. – The London Official Bureau this evening made the following announcement:-
‘The naval and military authorities call the attention of persons using the streets to the danger from fragments of shells and from bullets from the guns used against hostile aircraft attempting to raid London.
The civil population are warned to keep under cover, preferably in basements, upon hearing the sound of firing by guns, or of explosives.’” [3]
