Hall, CD, a former Commanding Officer of the Regiment (1989-92 and 1996-99), and the Regiment recently decided to put the retired ones on display.<\/p>\n<p>The retired colour sashes are now displayed outside of the entrance to the RMR Officers&#8217; Mess (where the Colours themselves are stored &amp; displayed). \u00a0Last week, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.royalmontrealregiment.com\/museum\/\" target=\"_blank\">RMR Museum<\/a> curator, Ron Zemanick arranged to install two new display cases which now house both of the retired colour sashes:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9427\" class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignleft\" style=\"width: 200px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.royalmontrealregiment.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/10344113_854272567919847_1025497216121854700_o.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9427 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.royalmontrealregiment.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/10344113_854272567919847_1025497216121854700_o-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"RMR Colour Officers at Church Parade, May 2014\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">RMR Colour Officers at Church Parade, May 2014<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Colour Sashes\u00a0are both decorative &amp; functional, as they&#8217;re worn by the officers in the Colour Party on parade to support the weight of the Colours themselves.
